Winter Parking Ban
Within the Town of Hillsborough, from November 1 to May 1, no parking is permitted on any public street between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Winter Overnight Parking in Municipal Lots
Per the updated Hillsborough parking regulations, winter overnight parking is now limited to a portion of the School Street Lot (across from the), and the Central Street Lot (across from the Fire Station). Overnight parking hours are from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. and are permit only. After 8 a.m. these spaces revert to 2-hour parking and are open to all vehicles. Permits can be purchased at the Police Station for $25 for the season and will be given on a first come basis. You must bring your current unexpired car registration with you to obtain one. TOWN OF HILLSBOROUGH REDUCED WEIGHT LIMITS ON TOWN ROADS
All municipal roads within the Town of Hillsborough, excluding West Main Street and Henniker Street, shall be closed to vehicles in excess of 6 tons from February 24, 2025, until further notice. Fuel delivery trucks and emergency vehicles are excluded. Permission to exceed this limit may be granted by contacting Ernie Butler, Road Agent, at 464-3877, extension 253.
